Enkel tilnærming fra sør. Observerte dybder mellom 11 og 14 meter. Usikker på hva slags sjøbunn det er, men kan se sand nær øyene. Min Rocna-anker fikk godt feste i bunn.
Høgøyna til vest er ikke veldig høy, så vind fra vest og nordvest vil trekke inn over land. Godt beskyttet mot bølger.
Noen private hytter på Dyrøyna.
