Innseiling og maritime forhold: Øst for Sandnessjøen ligger Meisfjorden.
Ankring: Ankringsdybde 14-19m
Området: Godt med skog rundt som tar en god del vind. En holme som bryter bølgene fra sjøen utenfor. God bunn av mudd men noe strøm i vannet ettersom det er en trang fjord som fylles med tidevann og strøm fra elva innerst i fjorden.
